How does cannabis help improve your overall quality of life?
Cannabis has allowed me to slowly get off all my prescribed medicine for epilepsy, and ADHD. While this took time to do, it has seriously changed my health as all the side effects of the medicine made me feel sick all the time, giving me little energy and severe anxiety.
How does cannabis help you live an active, healthy lifestyle?
With cannabis, I don’t feel like I want to lay in bed and not go out and enjoy the life that I have. Before using medicinal cannabis, I struggled just doing simple tasks like going to the grocery store.
How has cannabis helped put control back into your life?
I was out of control for so long, spent my days going from doctor to doctor to try and figure out why I was having seizures, and in so much pain. Just to get another script, have to deal with not only the side effects but then becoming dependent on that drug. Now I am in charge, and know that cannabis is my medicine and I know exactly how to use that medicine, and what to use according to what I need that day. I don’t feel as if my life depends on a pill and the clock waiting for the next dose.
How do you incorporate cannabis into your workout routines and recovery?
I always search for the highest of qualities of cannabis, and mainly use CBD/THC combos before and after working out (usually vape and edible 45 min before workout) I have found that it does wonders for my muscle soreness.
What type of cannabis products have earned your trust?
I use all the terp tanks available, CBD tinctures (when I was tapering off opioids this was a game changer), the Surp’s are incredible, I use French Vanilla almost every morning.
Would you say your hoping to destigmatize cannabis through your social media channels?
Absolutely! When I first started my Instagram account I didn’t share much at all because I was too worried of what people would think of me. Then I realized that was only my self-doubts talking, and now, every morning in my stories I share what I started my morning with and why – as well as make regular posts and engaging forums where people can share their own stories.
What is the goal of your social media channels & your fit lifestyle that you’re promoting?
My goal is to share my story in the hopes that someone who is struggling with anxiety, addictions, and seizures knows that there is another way besides prescription medicine and I am living proof of what cannabis can do for you.
With exercise, eating whole foods, taking care of our bodies, and constructively working through our mental battles..coming out on top is 100% possible and obtainable to anyone willing to do the hard work!
What type of workouts or routines do you live by?
I definitely believe in shorter 30 minutes or less workouts each day, consistency is key! Mix it up, cardio, weights, and stretching get the heart rate up.
What would you say to anyone who still has doubts surrounding the medical values of cannabis?
Educate yourself… when people find out I use cannabis it is so mind-blowing to them, and I think that’s a problem. We think cannabis and think stoner. Not many understand what it can do for you, or how its helping so many people around the world. I just try to educate where I can, and be a positive image for people to look at.
Lastly, how would you shortly summarize your #cannastory?
Cannabis has completely turned my life around, seizure free, mentally sound, happier than I have ever been in my life and I am so happy I was able to have an open mind to this not-pill form of medicine.
